I’m a newsroom manager and editorial consultant, with deep experience in audio and digital media as an <\/span>editor, reporter, producer, and host.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Most recently, I’ve been a supervising editor at Marketplace.<\/a> I also work independently with organizations, small teams and individual clients to create compelling audio and multimedia —\u00a0 driven by great characters and unexpected outcomes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n At <\/span>The New York Times <\/span><\/a>I <\/span>was a digital <\/span>news editor, producer, and reporter. I also managed and contributed to <\/span>At War<\/span><\/a>, The Times’s <\/span>forum for exploring the experiences and costs of geopolitical conflict. <\/span>In 2016, I was on the small team that rebuilt the Times’s audio department, which later launched <\/span>The Daily, Still Processing<\/span><\/i>, and other podcasts.<\/span><\/p>\n At <\/span>NPR<\/span><\/a>, I was a producer and editor at <\/span>All Things Considered,<\/span><\/i> Weekend Edition Saturday, <\/span><\/i>and<\/span> Talk of the Nation, <\/span><\/i>and one of the creators of <\/span>Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n From 2001-2008 I was a reporter at <\/span>WBEZ – Chicago Public Radio<\/span><\/a>, covering business, criminal justice, the military, and national security.<\/span><\/p>\n I’ve also taught audio reporting and production at <\/span>Columbia University Journalism<\/span> School, where I’ve had the great pleasure of helping other people fall in love with the medium.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Drop me a line here<\/a> or on LinkedIn<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I’m a newsroom manager and editorial consultant, with deep experience in audio and digital media as an editor, reporter, producer, and host.\u00a0 Most recently, I’ve been a supervising editor at Marketplace.
